My mother & her sister used to listen to pirate radio station ‘Radio Luxenberg’ when they were teenagers and my grandparents were horrified. Loved this movie!

Its not about Radio Caroline…just happens to be about a similar kind of station. It seems like more of a celebration of early pirate stations than a biographical film (in fact its factually inaccurate, but a lot of fun nevertheless).

Bill Nighy… posh accent… I reccomend underworld xD
January 16th, 2013 on 5:40 am
to be honest the film constantly nods to quite a few different legendary radio station stories. it’s not just radio caroline, radio jackie, luxembourg etc are all in there. if you’ve seen the film it’s obviously not supposed to be realistic but to give a “feel” of the concept/period! 🙂
January 16th, 2013 on 6:19 am

January 16th, 2013 on 6:26 am
I loved the movie, and I’m sure I’ll watch it again and again. I kept hoping to hear a bit from ‘Excerpt From a Teenage Opera! Mark Wirtz credits Radio Caroline for the success of his hit records in the UK.
